Notes

My favorite lift. I remember doing front squats for the first time at San Francisco Crossfit. My wrists were in so much pain I couldn’t finish.

Today: 30lbs off of my PR. I’ve traded a bit of strength for endurance this year — although I think with proper planning and training I can have both. This was the first time I’ve lifted heavy in a good while and only the first or second Crossfit workout in August. I’ve been putting a lot of time in on the bike. My back didn’t bother me in the squat, so the time off may have helped (sttreching must still become a priority). Weight is down to about 147lbs.

Failure came from the abs — which is not a sensation I remember feeling in the front squat. Upper back was quite rounded at the heavier weights too.

UPDATE: I lifted 5×230lbs and 1×260lbs on 3/19/09. Wow…
