Got very close, but failed at my previous press PR weight of 160lbs. My back is not right after my bike crash a couple weeks ago, but the pain that used to be associated with cleans & deadlifts appears to be gone. I scaled back my push-press and push-jerk weight/reps as not to further any injury (and it may be a good idea to rest up for the race on Saturday). Finished with a couple sets of 95lb clean and jerks to focus on form. Not entirely impressed by my results, but I’ll take a bad workout over no workout at all. |

It was cloudy and freezing, but the rain stayed away. Short and slow for the first ride of the season. Ryan and I broke away about 3 miles in but slowed down to let the group catch up (lowered our average). With daylight fading, the ride was kept to about 16 miles. I took off with 3 miles to go and came in 60 seconds before Ryan and about 3 minutes before Eric. |
